Well, the legal team has entered the rank minor, and we played our first tournament game today! The match was against McCloud's High Elves, them being the major underdogs by 340k. They ended up hiring Zara the Slayer (good choice, slapped down our TGs a lot) and a bloodweiser babe. The babe wasn't so useful for them, as somehow these pansy elves managed to outbash us! We managed to knock a grand total of around 3 players off the field for the whole game, not including two crowdpushes. We receive, but our loose cage gets nailed by a leaping blitzer who rolled a pow, so we lose the ball and they score after some struggle. Going into the second half 0-1, things don't look good as they receive, but luckily one of their 3(!) AG5s fumbles a pass, and we pounce on it as quickly as our little MA6 legs can pounce. After some struggle, we manage to score through sheer luck with a 4+ dodge (no reroll) from our very own Law Student Harry (told ya that kid had potential) in Turn 5 of the second. We manage to hold off the score with a clever (in my opinion) denial by blocking both blitzers (one with the ball) into the crowd, but our opponent comes close to scoring anyway with his sole remaining receiver in scoring range for turn 8, but doubleskulls a block to free him up.

So we coast into overtime with no rerolls left for both sides, and I win the toss so get to receive. Event is high kick, and so of course my AG3 blitzer catches it. We charge down the field, narrowly avoiding losing the ball a few times before in turn 8 I'm a mere 3 or so yards from the game-winning touchdown, with the only thing standing between Chris and the endzone being Zara the Slayer and a blitzer double-marking him. I try the 1d blitz but both-down to stay put, so already wishing my opponent luck for the game-deciding coin toss, I go for a last ditch play, dodging through the tacklezones with no rerolls. 5+, I roll a 5, 3+, I roll a 6, one more step and score!

So my khemri win their first game in 5 games, and it happens to be the opening round of a tournament! Thanks to McCloud for a very exciting game, and really, that last play had no right to work nearly as well as it did. Probably getting eliminated next round, but you never know...

EDIT: Oh yeah, and while I'm here; the Khem still have yet to face Amazons, Goblins, Halflings, Norse, Nurgle, Ogres, Slann, Underworld and Vampires. If you play any of these teams and seem remotely within TV range, hit me up sometime for a game, I'm always up for a matchup with the khem.
