He played me with his Ogres vs my Ogres on the weekend and already had played v Vamps and Chaos with them at low TV. He probably had a very good mix of opponents. Quite a large number of retired teams on his list too over the years..

You can just say dorfs. And there's nothing wrong with that. We can argue about the starting roster they get, but when you have guys with block and tackle + GS access who skill up, what do you take? Guard and MB.

Playing against 2 Cpomber at this low TV is unnatural.
Very few teams like this nowadays though and in the end not so much unfair than playing against almost any dwarf/lizards/zons/undead teams which are often "naturally" minmaxed at this TV without anybody complaining about it.

We're not going to be changing the rules so the options are pretty simple. Suck it up or play elsewhere.

I don't know how bad it really is in the Box these days but after a while it just gets old.

If CPOMB wasn't so bad you would hear more people complaining about dwarves/lizards/zons. As it is, those teams don't play as many games as the CPOMBers.

On the plus side Box isn't actually dying just yet. We'll see how it goes when the Cyanide game launches.

Polemical and trolling comments is all as usual. Only can and will see everything their way. Another point why blogs like this are senseless. Though this was way better.

Nonsense. I play against 1300 ish min maxed stack teams quite often, its just a plain regular experience. And the stack team quote is hefty currently.

You people just play too little games to know whats up, period. :P

If you dont even play box anymore - or just want to downplay things so everything feels groovy - but in reality have no idea. Please why dont you follow your own advice and just shut it?

Also a 200+ matches Elve team was retired in the last days. Havent spoken to the coach, but the team almost only drew stack teams in the last series of games.

If there is an effective OP algorithm it sure should be applied by everyone, everywhere, doing differently would mean lacking IQ of course.

I love the box and I wish I could play all my games there, but there are some teams like this that are trying to really flip the bird to the system that make me take a break from time to time. Getting matched against such a team once can be an interesting challenge. Getting matched against basically the same team with a different lemon behind the wheel enough times in a short period is enough to make any normal coach throw up their hands in frustration.

But, like in the real world, not everyone is out there to have fun in a sporting manner.

About comparing dwarfs with min maxed stack teams :
- cpomb team here average +1.75 CAS/game
- albinv more or less "naturally" min max Dwarf team average +2.5 CAS/game
For the average no cpomber/no bashy coach i don't know against which team he will enjoy the game more :p
I never played a dwarf team and never had a cpomb player so i'm quite impartial about that i think.
Nevertheless i fully agree it's a lack of sportsmanship to play such a low TV cpomber team.
Since the scheduler change (that i dislike despite some very good aspects), that have happened already a long time ago, i have very rarely met such low TV cpomb teams (high TV is another story ).
I may have been lucky.
