Alias Andras' Power Ranking for DLE2. Yes, this is a draft league. If you are interested, go on. If not, then no need to rage along!

Season2 and draft3 are in the books. Teams made moves to shore up weaknesses and to add playmakers. I rank the teams right before the beginning of the season with some short comments. I made it in 2 steps. 1st step involved putting the teams into 5 categories:
5star - SB candidate
4star - very strong playoff candidate
3star - could make playoffs with some luck
2star - wont make playoffs
1star - bottom feeder

To cluster the teams i used the following criteria:
- Coaching
- Roster strength (difference makers and depth)
- Roster bloat (as there are inducements in this league)
- Division rivals (strong rivals mean little chance for playoffs)

When i finished the tiering, then then i tried to break the tie, which is sort of arbitrary. Lets start the rankings, then it is your turn to nitpick the details. I go with reverse order.

no16 - L'anguile Shockers - 1star
JackH is new to DLE2, and this is why i put him last. I dont think this team is worse than the other 1 star squad, but the experience should at least matter a little. Also note, that the Shockers need to play 2 times a season vs the powerhouse Admirals. I think there is neither enough firepower nor depth here to endure such abuse. On the bright side, the Shockers have developing core of blitzers, so season4 could be much brighter, but they need to survive and develop first.

no15 - Saint Lev Stingers - 1star
SerenadeOfSorrow joined during season2, so have some experience, and knows about the challenge. I just think this roster is flawed and cannot be repaired so quickly. He made some nice moves this offseason, but not enough. Also, overdrafted a nice ogre, but i had that as late 1st rounder going at no3 overall. The division is a tough place with a lowish level bloated team (with at least 4 Dp as one example).

No14 - Aquitaine Révolutionnaires - 2star
BigF is an old coach here. And he soldiers on admirably. His division is not kind, so there is nothing to sugarcoat here. The str6 ogre and the ma10 catchers are really great, but the team starts the season with some rookies. This team feels like a work in progress. Nurturing talent rather than making a push now.

No13 - Carcassonne Dragons - 2star
Sharkrudi is new here, replacing everybody's Ben. Dragons were the worst team, so had the chance to draft a decent vampiric human blitzer with str4 and ag4. Similar to Revs, this team is a work in progress. The potential is there.

No12 - Moslac Might - 2star
Demon is new to DLE2. This team has every role covered, just without any transcendent talent. Very workmanlike. Adding this to the fact that Chimps and Brawlers are pretty cuthroat, and that Demon is new here, having the 3rd best talent level in the division with underdeveloped blitzer seems like asking for some challenge.

No11 - Bastonne Watchmen - 2star
This team made very far last postseason, but their push seems to be over. It will be interesting to see how they respond to adversity. They are in a division with similarly talented teams with similar coaching level, so anything is possible, but i just cant see the difference maker on this team compared to the others. Postseason and Offseason were more kind for the rivals as far as player health and talent is concerned.


No10 - Bordeleaux Krakens - 3star
The 3 stars team gave me a biggest headache, this is the tie that is most difficult to sort out. If i made a mistake with the rankings, then it happened here (most likely). Krakens have competent coach and roster, but not spectacular, and coach announced a building season facing difficult opponents. So i put them for meta reasons at no10.

No9 - Almshoven Paladins - 3star
High armored paladins with playoff aspirations. They might actually get there. They are not outstanding at anything, but quite workmanlike. This will boil down to coaching.

No8 - Parravon Pinnacles - 3star
A team with tendencies of falling apart, but with both AG5 and STR5. I expect them to make spectacular wins, and boneheaded defeats alike. Will this be enough for the playoffs? Maybe, but most likely not. Andy du Labrait, Tristan De Paix will be potentially awesome though!

No7 - Hautmont Garrison - 3star
Frightening blitzer core with a lot of skills. Will this be enough to separate from the division rivals? I believe so, but just barely. They can field an efficient team, while staying lean.

No6 - Artois Chimpanzees - 3star
Chimp made a restructure which means they will compete. For the second straigth season. They have no bloat, they are mean and lean. Got an ag4 thrower which is very valuable. Their champion is a little underwhelming, but at least str4. They are probably the 2nd in the division after the Brawlers, and ahead of Stingers and Might.

No5 - Montfort Battle Pilgrims - 3star
This roster is borderline ridiculus. 3 times +STR. The only reason i dont rank them high as they are in the same division as the no2 ranked team, and the coaching is not above average. I think this roster is top3, possibly no2. Cédric Schuler, Carl Wolfsberg, Kilian Scharer are really great, and they got the ag5 catcher, Didier de Graaf from the Brawlers. They also field a competent blitzer core along with 2 str4 linemen. Awesome starting 11!

No4 - Gisoreux Bisons - 3star
This is a better team right now than the one ranked just above them. More strength, and as much agility, higher TW. But they are playing in the division of the defending champs, and that champ has the strongest roster in the league. So playoff cant be taken for granted.

No3 - Broekwater Brawlers - 4star
A consistent force in the regular season (both season1 and2), but coming short in the postseason. No transcendent talent, but complete team now, after shoring up weaknesses in the offseason. (Getting block ogre for example.) The team is a collection is reliable players, with 8 AV increases in total. Some competitors say that coaching is their best trait.

No2 - Brionne Admirals - 4star
Was the big favorite to win it all last season due to huge TW advantage (and agility advantage) over the competition, but ultimately coming short. Teams are catching up now, so i dont expect them to be the biggest dog, but they are great nevertheless. Still feels like an elven team with mass balling and dodging skills.

No1 - Quenelles Chargers - 5star
Defending champion with 3 str4 blitzers, high TW, complete team, and sufficient agility. Case is very clear. It is also telling that KOL conference has no1 and no2 ranked teams.
