When someone in the NFL or CFL, or streetball jumps up to stop a pass, a lot of the time they aren't going for the interception. They just want to bat the thing down.

So what if instead of choosing to intercept and catch the ball, you could instead make an AG check at -1 to bat the ball from the air. Naturally everyone would go for this instead and passing would be even tougher, so perhaps to balance it out it could change a few other rules:

1) Safe Throw now automatically reduces successful interceptions to this, and completely ignores them on the AG roll success.

2) Safe throw also removes all opportunities to try and bat the ball down, you must go for the interception.

3) No SPP for batting down the ball.

So what do you all think? Any suggestions to make it better appreciated, although if you want to flame me for it I guess that's cool too. Just keep in mind that at least I didn't create a thread on the forums for this, that's my saving grace.
