Ro issued a challenge today. A challenge that I plan to tackle myself. A challenge that is not for the weak-hearted or the weak, or the weaklings. A challenge that only a true MAN could take on.
All internal monologues aside, essentially I've been telling myself for a while that I need to stop playing Skaven exclusively, and figured I must make a new team. The fact that my current team of [R]ats is sucking terribly may or may not have influenced this decision. I went to chat, tried rolling a few dice to decide, but it came up dorfs so I said screw that. Then just as soon as I was about to go back to my exclusively Skaven roots, a certain voice called Ro handed me Khemri, and dared me to go a hundred games.
Well, I figured my CR wasn't going to start booming anytime soon, and Nuffle knows (oh yes, he most certainly DOES know *glare*) I need to get away from the rats for a while and just relax. So I assembled a
Crack Legal Team to help me in my trial of manliness.
Today marks the first day of the hundred game trial, and coincidentally the first game as well, against a nice Skaven coach. I receive, grab the ball with a reroll on my blitz-ra and proceed to carve my way down field in a comfy S5 cage while he (cowardly unmanly Skaven player that he is *coughcough*) beats up my skeletons in the backfield, putting me 1-0 in the first half. He then proceeds to pull Skaven magic (and I realize how it feels to face Skaven and instantly feel terribly guilty) and score, attempting a stall but leaving me 4 turns. Unfortunately, fortune doesn't smile upon me this drive, and I double skull a tomb guardian with no rerolls left, and he easily steals the ball and scores again, ending the game for me 2-1.
And so my quest begins, with the reward a mere 99 games away. Wish me luck, I'll probably need it.
(On a completely unrelated side note, apparently the other coach was a fan of my Skaven team which I still find hard to believe. Again, thanks for being one though, always appreciate it when people like watching me lose :D)
