So one GFI is always worth it but 2 only at the longer ranges.

What about if you have pass skill? Or pass and a RR? Or sure feet? Or sure feet, pass and a RR!?!

The other thing I've learnt (to my cost), is that sometimes you need to consider the relative dangers of a failed GFI vs a misthrown pass. Sometimes it is better to just get the ball out of there and retrieve it next turn, in which case you shouldn't risk the GFI and should just throw. Unless the risk of a fumble is high.
You're right though, the maths is interesting.

Your man can died on GFI so broken RNG says pass

I think that PeteW's questions there are undue cruelty...

@Pete: Hehe, maybe I'll do that right now...
@gjopie: Hmm, while you have a point, and the risk of falling down is situationally quite a bit worse then that of failing the pass, I'm just dealing with turnovers for simplicity's sake. I'm in the camp of winning first, preserving second, so I'll take whatever gives me the best chance to succeed on the pass :)

Kay screw it, here goes. And yes, I did the math right, factoring in that you can't use rerolls more than once. Just for you, pete. Stats for other stuff later, this is just team reroll with one GFI
One GFI w/reroll:
2+ and 5+ vs. 6+ : 110/216 vs. 66/216 (Go for it)
2+ and 4+ vs. 5+ : 150/216 vs. 120/216 (Go for it)
2+ and 3+ vs. 4+ : 180/216 vs. 162/216 (Go for it)
2+ and 2+ vs. 3+ : 200/216 vs. 192/216 (Go for it)
So far, working with one-use rerolls seems to work out to the same final results as without them. At least my noggin's getting a bit of a work out, been a long time since I've done probabilities. More later.

Good work - although I found something similar earlier on the web:
http://slobb.doubleskulls.net/gfi.php
I tried to get some simple rules based on those numbers into my head, but it's easier to look it up, I think. ;-)

I would prefer to not go for it in the most usual cases, cause you can fall over on the GFI try. The ball falls down and causes an easy steal for the opponent often. Of course this depends on the situation, but mathhammer isnt everything.
