Any Competitive team of one of the following races can apply here to the Forlorn Races qualifiers. (Amazons; Chaos Renegades; Goblin; Gnome; Halfling; Norse; Ogres ; Black Orcs; Imperial Nobility; Khorne; Old World Alliance; Snotlings.)

Specialty Qualifiers:
Any Competitive team can apply here.

One Specialty Qualifier will be for coaches from the 145 club. The decision on who counts as being a 145er rests with the 145 admin team and their decision will be final. If you are applying to this qualifier please talk to the 145 admin team so we know that is your intention.

Any additional Specialty qualifier's will be open to anyone. So if you have a team with more than 15 games but under 1500 TV that doesn't fit in forlorn this is the spot to apply.

Like last year we are not going to try to force 4 qualifiers into each section but instead spread the 16 around in a way that keeps the qualifiers as close to a consistent size as possible.

Note you can only apply a team to one of the 4 qualifier types above.
Prizes

The winner of the GLT will be rewarded with the choice of a secret weapon from Ball and Chain (player gets MA3/ST7/No Hands), Chainsaw, or Pogo stick (pogo stick, no secret weapon).

They will carry the secret weapon trait which will follow normal rules.

Due to the unique nature of these weapons they can only be given to rookie linemen as they have to train with some Goblins to learn how to use them.

On top of this there will be dynamic gold throughout the finals.

All the league news fit to print and then some!

Compiled from across FUMBBL, this is all the news that's come to my little furry ears. Separated into four sections: 'Public' Leagues, Open Play Environments, Independent Tournaments, and Meta-groups. If you know more that is going on, please let razmus know so he can add it to the next edition, which should be the last weekend in May. Hopefully I captured everything. I've added a channel for conversation amongst League Commissioners on my FUMBBL Leagues Discord. If you're interested in the conversation, please jump into the general channel and ask to be elevated for the commissioner's channel.

The census says that there are 952 distinct, active coaches on FUMBBL who play in leagues, down a little from last time, and I expect the number to drop some as folks who only play in Super League wander off. Two numbers are given for the range of the league size, because 'active coaches in a league' is a poorly defined descriptor. When the numbers are very different - the league is likely in flux, have some deadwood teams/coaches in their locker rooms, or be at the start or end of a cycle/season (when there's usually a lot of inactive coaches watching the playoffs). Numbers very close together should be pretty close to the 'actual' active coach population (whatever that means) for the group.

Current status	Gnomes!! is the current season for 145 and runs until mid-June. 145 Box Challenge is a way of encouraging 145 players into the wider site, for the more experienced 145 players since you will play concurrent with the Blackbox Trophy. 145 Coaches also have their own GLT qualifier to encourage integration into the wider FUMBBL community.
Next steps	If you're new to FUMBBL or Blood Bowl, jump in at your leisure. Efforts are being made to make it easier for folks to join with minimal wait and to make it easier to find appropriate opponents.

Rules	BB2020 with modified Secret League, and customized BB2016 skill progression. Only one team per roster. (Custom stars, with subpar apothecaries.)
Current status	Year 12, Spring regionals about at the midway point. Come watch all the little teams get slaughtered over and over again.
Next steps	Year 12, Summer fun (special) tournaments.

If you're an established FUMBBL coach who has been considering joining CIBBL, now is the BEST time to join! (But be aware, a lot goes into the administration of this league, and they'll tend to only accept coaches who have something of a proven track record of reliability on FUMBBL.)

“Spelledaren’s next big thing”

“Home Brew Halflings”

Recruiting coaches/teams for Season 45 has begun.
Next steps	Teams prep for the next season. Returning former non-AQ get assigned a conference. Rookies are hazed. Then there's an online show and the season structure is announced. Coaches spend the next several months playing the games they're told to play and attempt to understand how it all works.

Open Play Environments
Open play environments are places where teams can be built to play against other teams in the same environment, usually without scheduling the game, although many open environment also offer their own activities for teams to compete against one another if the coaches wish to participate.

Competitive
Rules	BB2020 - using the latest rules available. No Mega-stars.
Activity	Very high activity. This is the primary activity on FUMBBL
To play	Make a team from your Coaches page for the Competitive division and put them in Gamefinder, or activate teams in the Black Box (also now within gamefinder) or seek games on the FUMBBL Discord (the last is more popular with people seeking those last few games to fill a grid.) Be aware that the box random scheduler now separates virtual season one teams from everyone else.
Activities	Royal Rookie Rumble for new teams. (Recruiting 24/7!) Brawls for any Competitive team. Brackets break at 1400 and 1800. Minors can be looked for another run at the middle of the month. In addition, the XFL divisions for Chaos Renegades, Dark Elves, Undead, and Norse running now! Dwarf, Goblin, Khemri, and Skaven will be starting soon, with High Elf, Lizardmen, Underworld, and Black Ork in July. Major Tournaments spread out across the year, each with their own requirements and some with qualifier tournaments. Grotty Little Touranment qualifiers have been announced, with a deadline for signups this week.


Rules	BB2020 with custom rosters. (No Mega-stars to mirror Competitive envionment.)
Activity	Some.
To play	Make a team from the group above (or from your coaches page in the "League","Secret League 2020" division). Put them in Gamefinder or seek games on the Secret League Discord
Activities	Old World Rookie Rumble for new teams. Just need two more for the next Rumble. Old World Brawl for any team. Bracket breaks at 1000, 1300, 1600, and 2000. [SL]2020 Slam are Slam type instant tournaments for groups of four teams. (just needs interested coaches) [SL]2020 Open Sprint allows teams to compete on points earned in open play, leagues, and touranments. Current season running from 1 May - 15 June. Secret Stunty Cup! Coming 29th May! Other tournaments to start when Seasons enabled on FUMBBL.


Rules	BB2020, low competitive. (no Mega-Stars)
Activity	Some, fairly consistent.
To play	Create a team from the link on the Chillax group page, and make them available in gamefinder.
Activities	Ongoing sprint seasons, just so there are numbers to watch. Really the environment is just an excuse to play games, so get to it.

Open League
Rules	BB2020 (no Mega-Stars)
Activity	Low.
To play	Create a team from the link on the Open League group page, or from the Create Team link at the bottom of your coaches page and select 'League', 'Open League'. Make them available in gamefinder, or find an opponent in Discord or other places. It's okay to play casual games against friends here.


Rules	BB2016, with imported League, Ranked, or Box teams, including SL16 teams.
Activity	Low
To play	Clone teams into the league to bring new life to them to play. Open [L]eague Cup - No limit, Official 2016 + [SL16] teams for a possibly last ride of glory. (Watch Koadah's Blog for more information on the O[L]C activities.)

Independant Tournaments
Tournaments available, which aren't otherwise part of one of the open environments.

Rules	BB2020, 4M teams, (almost all) star players.
Next tournament	All Stars Winter Bowl when there are eight teams to make a new bracket.

Active Metagroups
Metagroups play in other open and league environments, against other teams in the environment which aren't necessarily part of the metagroup, for thier own goals.


Season	Season 11: May-Aug 2024
Environment	Competitive (Blackbox Scheduler only)
Synopsis	FUMBBL's only officially supported metagroup. Build one or more squads of four teams, and amass points by winning and tying after randomly matching other teams. One team from each roster will have the opportunity to participate in the Steel Gauntlet, it's own special official [C]ompetitive Division tournament. (See Christer's blog linked above for more information.)

Player of the Year 2024 (POTY 2024)
Season	The year of 2024
Environment	Competitive tournaments - FUMBBL Minor, Majors, and BBT
Synopsis	Earn points in the official Comptitive division competitions, and folks are offering up prizes. 145 Club has their own related prize as well! Current Update (April)


Season	LXXXVI: May 1 - June 30th.
Environment	Competitive, Blackbox, and League (BB2020/SL2020).
Synopsis	A reboot of the original E.L.F. group, Elf teams accumulate points for playing (and more for winning) against a variety of different rosters. Additional awards for filling your dance card, and a special award for taking more casualties than anyone else. (Discord Channel.)

Bloodbowl Championship Series [BCS] Recruiting

Bloodbowl Championship Series [BCS] is a new group aiming to be a nice community with good attitude coaches.

Concept:
Draft league with with developing players.
Different divisions for different teams, currently active are:

Ulthuan First (Elven league with custom rosters)
Kislev Premier Alliance (Secret League 2020 teams, with some exceptions)

You choose skill sets to your players from a draft pool taking turns with your rival coaches in the drafting phase.
Draft pools are arranged by player types (Blitzer, Catcher, etc.) so different teams can draft from same pool.
Then you make a Team Captain and fill the team to 16 players with rookies. After that you are about ready to play the season.

There are many additional mechanics (and requirements), during the season and between seasons to make it interesting in the long run. But these you can learn along the way.

FUMBBL Brawls 8 May (No Draw)

Brawls are a weekly drawn tourney for Competitive Division teams and will be run on the KotH system, meaning the second round pairing will be generated randomly after the first round is complete.

Hi (from 1805 TV up): 0

Please remember that TV is the deciding factor in which Brawl your team will be a part of and includes missing players! (It is not Current Team Value(CTV)!)

Draws will be made on Wednesday if there are enough participants, usually between 1200-1400 server time. You will receive a PM that you're in the tourney when it starts. Tournament announcements on the official FUMBBL Discord #minors channel. Game announcements will be made in my Leagues Discord, in the Minor Tournament channel.

DLE Recruiting at Midseason!

DLE Season 15 is just about to reach its half-way point.

The league is looking to recruit one coach in time for the second half of the schedule and then for interested coaches who might want to join the reserve list.

DLE is an all-human draft league, so at the end of season, a draft is held so teams can replenish for the upcoming season.

We have customisable teams icons and great friendly discord. It's also one of the longest running league on the site, and we still have original coaches from all the way from season 1 so you know it's good.

Its a great group of coaches, committed to 10 day rounds with divisional rivalries and year end awards, all based on NFL style league play.

It's a great opportunity to take over a team and shape it for this season and prepare to put your own stamp on it for a new season in s16.
