These are Goblins on chains. The little fanatics act as linemen, they have chains but miss the heavy morning star on the other end of the chain. The chain itself is actually kinda weak. Imagine little kids walking up an down their homestreet in a little village, with too big key chains, swinging those key chains like big bullies as if this was their street... Imagine them green and you have Little Fanatics practising in hope to one day reach the levels of true Fanatics. To do so they just move like their idols do. With little chains floating in circles around them. It actually looks like some kind of beautiful dance.
Because these Goblins all dream of a career with a chain, their other specials are replaced by the weapons themselves. They coloured a bomb green. The bomb rolls around, everyone trys to avoid it. The saw is even cheaper. It is just a saw which they turn on at kickoff. So both secret weapons can't skill. This would not be realistic.
The poor Trolls panic because of the chain which makes them feel a loss of freedom and gives them the rage of a Wild Animal.
The Ball & Goblin is actually what might make this team win several games. If he is lucky to reach the ball, he can throw it to the other side of the pitch.


Goblin Ball & Chain teams were first introduced in fumbbl secret league. They are typically made up of Goblins, because this league needed more Goblins. Don't believe me?

Hey, glad you asked. Only the secret weapons have no hands. The troll or the linemen can pick up, no problem.

asfar as i could see all currently existing ball and chain players also have the skill no hands. so why not create players without this negative skill? i thought ball & chain istelf only declares how the character can move.

Hmmm maybe that's how the client deals with it. I'm not sure what would happen then, but B&C players are classed as no hands in the rules.

I was thinking of doing a night goblin team, that could take an unlimited amount of ball and chains. NGs were famous for B&Cs.

Yeah, a B&C without the No Hands skill can handle the ball. Stunty Leeg Snotling Pump Wagons already do.

regarding no hands, i just reread rulz about skill ball & chain, it doesn't state anything about hands or no hands.

very good match would be two goblin & chain teams against each other. like rocket league but in turns.

Troll on a chain, this was originally a Troll chained to a Goblin. This is now represented by the Troll swinging the hapless goblin around. When Troll on a chain moves around use the normal chain template, if it moves into your own squares, you may elect to throw team mate over having the troll bash your guy to death. In that case roll the normal throw team mate roll (what has happened is the goblin being targeted grabs the goblin being swung around).

With the Little fanatics, I would actually give them tentacles to represent the chains. IMHO we could have maybe 6 of them and the rest normal goblins. Do remember Ball and Chain is a weakness and does not have normal movement.

"Do remember Ball and Chain is a weakness and does not have normal movement." that was the basic idea. a team that can only move very randomly around. and because of the dodge of many teammates this would lead to constant chain reactions.

Ahhhh I forgot about the pump wagon!!! This was more to do with intercepting bombs rather than carry the ball. However the concept is fun.

Ball & Chain players do have no hands (or to be more precise aren't able to carry anything due to using their B&C). This was clarified. However it's your roster, so feel free to make it how you like. Also under the description you can see that a player cannot

I forgot how the client dealt with B&C, or actually the traits are in combo.

harvest, first of course my posting was as serious as my trool cook suggestion back then. a small drunk joke including a link to the awesome secret league.
it is also just to play with the idea how much one could change the game now in fumbbl.

but now i am curious why you seem so certain about the no hands, i reread yesterday the rules for ball & chain,
now again. i paste in the end. there is no actual mention of interaction with a ball. so i really think it is more a thing during design process like big guys getting a negative skill to balance their high strength, and to do it with fluff. so it happens that b& and nh until now only appeared in combo, but that could be changed. granted, you are right that a player with a big fat ball & chain, the classic fanatic, has no chance to free his hand for a ball, but in our case most of those goblins just have little chains and are stupid. delusional's tentacles idea seems to get that.

so the paste:
Players armed with a Ball & Chain can only take Move Actions. To move or Go For It, place the throw-in template over the player facing up or down the pitch or towards either sideline. Then roll a D6 and move the player one square in the indicated direction; no Dodge roll is required if you leave a tackle zone. If this movement takes the player off the pitch, they are beaten up by the crowd in the same manner as a player who has been pushed off the pitch. Repeat this process until the player runs out of normal movement (you may GFI using the same process if you wish). If during his Move Action he would move into an occupied square then the player will throw a block following normal blocking rules against whoever is in that square, friend or foe (and it even ignores Foul Appearance!). Prone or Stunned players in an occupied square are pushed back and an Armour roll is made to see if they are injured, instead of the block being thrown at them. The player must follow up if they push back another player, and will then carry on with their move as described above. If the player is ever Knocked Down or Placed Prone roll immediately for injury (no Armour roll is required). Stunned results for any Injury rolls are always treated as KO’d. A Ball & Chain player may use the Grab skill (as if a Block Action was being used) with his blocks (if he has learned it!). A Ball & Chain player may never use the Diving Tackle, Frenzy, Kick-Off Return, Pass Block or Shadowing skills.

btw i am currently wondering what wuld happen if i give my no hands bloodthirster pass block..

Well if you see from the description at the end, these are all skills you need hands. It's describing stuff it can't do.

Also in the NAF clarification section there's a note that says "As a B&C player has No Hands, if they move on to the ball it bounces and it is a turnover."

Which means it was clarified that B&Cs are no handed players.

As I said, I think there's scope for a heavy B&C team. A Night Goblin one. So ideas are fun.
