Now we look at the Conference finals. For outsiders this the (sort of) semifinals before the big final, the SuperBowl! First we go to SHC.

Grenzburg Greenskins vs Irrana Avalanche

I had the chance to talk to both coaches before this big game. Both teams are in their very first playoff run after 4 and 3 seasons in the league, so no matter what we we have a brand new participant in the Superbowl!

Greenskins won against the wreckers in pouring rain to get here. Wreckers got wrecked, and here the Greenskins are. Greenskins bring a full squad to this game, and worth mentioning is that Greenskins has not conceeded a single TD in their playoff campain so far. Greenskins lost a lino with 2 skills last match, and coach said it was not a big loss, but his task was to protect the flank of the good players, now a rookie or some else must do it. As coach said! losing a player here and there does not matter. This is the playoff and now we must release the beast!!
Avalanche is my big headache. I have predicted them out 2 times now, but they are still standing. my colleague in Irrana told me they have given their local team a new nickname: They are the wolfslayers! Beating both White Wolves and Wolfskins to get here. Not easy opponents. But as the coach told me. Avalanches did not expect to be here this deep in the playoffs. Avalanche hoped to bother their divisionrivals in regular season, and that was it, but then one win took the other, and the wildcard round was there. 2 Wolves later, and it is the Conference final. When asked to set a percentage on the team chances coach said 50/50. And I agree. We are looking at a very close game here.
We all know both teams by now. Greenskins are pumped up on guard and some +ST. They roll the bashgame. Avalanche are more going on MB, so they are also capable of hitting hard with 3 MB blitzers, supported by some +AG to get out of pressure when thigs get too hot. So 2 different builds that meet here. I think both teams and coaches are a very good matchup, and we will see a blast of a game. But all fairytales got an ending and the cindarella story of the Avalanche ends here.

We move on to KFC:

Broekwater Patriots vs Nuln Gunners (Scheduled 30/12/2017 @2100 hours)

Here the picture is very different from SHC. Patriots were no 1 seed after a blast of a regular season, and they will also be the favorite in this matchup. Patriots coach gave his team 65% chance to get to the Superbowl.
However. In the 3 previous seasons, Patriots somehow managed to throw it all in the Conference final. You hear me people. 3 KFC finals. 3 losses. Coach didn't mention this at all when I had a talk with him, but maybe understandable, as you don't want to draw attetion to what went wrong in earlier seasons. They took a big hit on ST4 thrower Glennon getting -ST last game. Patriots chose to keep him on the squad, so they only bring 14 players to this final. They can be prone to losing numbers in this game as they meet Gunners with a couple of highprofile killer blitzers in Cortez and McCoy. That brings some excitement to the game. Patriots won the divisional game by making a great OTTD in turn 16. So it was a close one, where Murker and his Unicorns put the Patriots to the test. Can Gunners do more than that coming from an overtime win gainst the 49'ers?
Gunners got a well rounded team with block on almost every player. Joe Vellano the DP lino was in good form in the divisional game, and he needs to bring his A-game for the Gunners to compete here. Gunners bring a full squad to the game, and the blitzers are the core players here. No doubt. The lack of guard can be the Gunners downfall in this Conference game, but that stands to be answered. When I talked to the Gunners coach, he talked praise to Cortez Allen. Cortez was brought in, in the midseason tradewindow, and the team has not lost a game since then. That meant the team just made it to the wildcards, and now face the Patriots. When asked about a gameplan coach said: "We need to avoid playing the Patriots! Oh but we are! Gameplan will be thought out later!". Gunners coach put only 15% chance for his team to move on to the Superbowl. Clever move to put pressure on the Patriots. Gunners coach started with the team this season, and is fairly new to the league, but not a noob-coach! He can bring the pain to the Patriots, but will the ST4 of the Patriots Powerhouse notice his effort? Only time will tell.

Yes I think the Superbowl will be between Greenskins and Patriots.

Funfact1: Non of the last 4 teams has ever been to the Superbowl before.
Funfact2: 3 of 4 teams were in the wildcardround, so much for being a favorite(looking at Wreckers/Wolfskins/49'ers - for making my life as a reporter hard when it comes to predicting games!).
