First game for the young Tilean Sea Minotaurs against Sea Elf Teams Mystical Mariners coached by the friend bakadon.

The two teams changed gifts and wish each other a good season in the SLICC tournament and prepared for their first friendly game. Alas the Minotaurs in their effort to honour their guests started to punch them, some can describe them as a cultural misunderstanding which led to the death of Sea Elf Blocker. The local Minotaur ale that was served before the game had also other undesirable effects for the poor Sea Elf failing many dodges and passes, leading to a disastrous game.

The Minotaur fans were on the other side delighted seeing from the first time what the coach Kharigor meant that a fantasy football team must also focus a bit also on the ball not only on the blocks.

First half time started not so optimal. Yes, our big guys managed to have two casualties (there was also the aforementioned sea elf death that froze a bit the game) but the brays had a lot of problems with the ball handling. Only the low speed of our opponents saved us from a TD. But Sea Elves were around the ball, as small Bray dodges around, pick the ball, was looking around not knowing what to do. A panicked Kharigor screamed for a long pass and the #12 Bray just obeyed and that was it. The rest of the half was spend around the End Zone of the Mystical Mariners and moments before the half time break we had the first TD for the Minoan Bulls.

Second Halftime was even more disastrous for the Mystical Mariners. The Minoan Bulls managed to execute a blitz manoveur during the Kick off, Brays took the possesion of the ball and managed a 2nd TD. The fans could not believe it that their team scored for the second time. Before the final whistle, the Minoan Bulls managed again to steal the ball and score for a third time!

Unbelievable first game. The Club Board was persuaded to pay for the signing of a Veterinarian (eh, I mean Apothecary) from the Tilean Peninsula. The health of the players are a priority. Even one Minotaur (#3 Aiakos, Top Blocker also with 8 Blocks) managed to learn how to help his mates in blocking.

At the end of the game, Coach Kharigor said that he was pleased a lot, but he warned that the season will not be so easy and that the target should be a midtable placement, maybe one minor title in some years if we are very very lucky.
