Greetings sports fans,
This is a glorious moment, because it would be the first game of Swan Riders in CIBBL. It is also the first game of a Halfling against a Zoat team in the league. Although it should have been one! During Y5 Autumn in Cloth Division another Zoat team the Chargers of Dividiacus ( https://fumbbl.com/p/team?op=view&team_id=942663
) should have come to Moot to play against the Lord of Harvest (you remember them, yes the halfling team that disappeared the next Spring during our big CIBBL tournament Eichenschatten Grand Feast ( check the previous post: https://fumbbl.com/p/blog?c=Kharigor&id=23561
). Guess what! They never came and they forfeited all the other games in the division. That year the Lords of the Harvest won 3 games by forfeit by coincidence! This Zoat team gave the following winter (Y6) one friendly game against a Northern Nippon team, but they never revealed the reason of why they give up. Does the famous Dökkálfar Dreki ( https://fumbbl.com/p/team?team_id=961427
) had something to do with one or both of these disappearances (by the way check their marvelous fanzone journal, they have also a feature on their Dark Elf chearleaders --> https://fumbbl.com/p/blog?c=CrookfangRob
)? What happened in the Cloth Division of Year 5 and to the opponents of the Lords of the Harvest? Are Halflings evil? Was the disappearance of the Lords of the Harvest moments before the biggest moment of Blood Bowl in Moot an act of revenge? Are the Lords of Harvest in the lower decks of a Black Ark? Are we going to have a huge scandal on the foundations of CIBBL?
The Swan Riders are wishing that the Crystal Mere Mystics arrive safely in Eichenschatten and play our game. Free entrance to any Zoat citizen of Moot.
Did you Know? #1
… that a small popullation of Zoats lives in Altern Forest! Yes, indeed and this is an information, unknown to the most, not because it is secret, but their small number, the seclusive life of the Zoats and the unimportance of Moot, all played a role so that the Zoats of Altern Forest remain far away from the lights. But Blood Bowl has arrived also to them and few of these Zoats played in the local league and the Halfling Thimble Cup fulfilling the role of the Big Guy/Blitzer. Eichenschatten Swan Riders were also the first team that recruited a Zoat for Blood Bowl on 2466 season in Moot (almost the same year when the more famous Zlocath the Zoat debuted in Athel Loren for Laurelorn Paladins). The problem with the Zoats was that they could not easily adapt to the crowded and intense world of Blood Bowl and it is very difficult to persuade them to become permanent members for the team. But nevertheless Zoats appeared in some teams in the lower leagues of Moot as amateur enthusiasts. During 2472 and 2479 seasons Swan Riders made some games with Zoats in lineup, but the coming of the innovative Halfling coach Hansi Missclick changed the team profoundly. Missclick developed the concept of 2 Zoats instead of Treemen for the Swan Riders, which the team played for 4 Seasons (2486-2489). The results did not met the expectation of the board and Missclick mainly due to bad positioning, but the different faster style of the team brought many sold-outs. The last appearance of a Zoat player for the Swan Riders was during 2492 Season. Swan Riders are enjoying still the support of some Zoats of Altern Forest, who have formed also a dedicated fan club.
