This week the Beasts of Crimson Keep kick off their Spring Tour by taking on the Vampires of the Grim Shade Stalkers. These lesser counts have their own style of Blood Bowl. The endurance of the Blood Dragons will be contrasted with the agility of the counts. However we are arguably outnumbered 6-4 in the vampire department.



I normally carry on a thrall, but forget that against agile hypnogazing opposition. Over winter I skilled up a thrall with sure hands to be a retriever and handoff to Sir Corduin - a safe, vicious pair of hands.



...And they promptly scored. Here is the second drive. Stuff happened and due to media budgeting constraints I've just taken a still at the end of each turn.



Ok so two down going into the second half, so it is time to launch our powerful counter attack.



Oops. Luckily we still have a path to the ball, just needing a dodge. But with an overly complicated mass of chain pushing we can reduce that to just needing a dodge.

We were able to score a consolation touchdown because the Grim Shade Stalkers had started their after party early. Are you sure there's no halfling in them?





A sad defeat. We may not be a team that racks up lots of TD, but we pride ourselves on our defence. This is the first time a team has scored 3 past us and it doesn't bode well for the rest of the season. Lessons will need to be learned. Fortunately next week, Tuesday 2130 BB time, we take on Dreamers of Death and Despair. Normally necrarch vampires lock themselves away in their tombs to pretend the world doesn't exist. This bunch actually take to the pitch to test themselves, and they deserve some respect for that. However they clearly skip weights at the gym, and although their movement is impressive, I don't see them being able to withstand our powerhouse players. I anticipate a bounce back with a 2-1 victory.
