This week the Beasts of Crimson Keep take on Corpse Run Nightmares. The two new vampire teams are battling it out to ensure they don't slip into last place.

This episode is a great one for kids - there's nonstop violence throughout. Take note all ye fans. This is how blood bowl should be played. Don't let any pointy eared pansy tell you otherwise!



Here we join at the start of the first half. A pack of ghouls has made an early move up the sidelines, trying to use their speed advantage.



Yeah! The BoCK, making the biggest plays day in day out. Sir Giles ejected Sophie Belmont into the stands, and the adoring fans punt the ball back into play, where is it dutifully collected by a minion. @C0ddlefish, how many SNOT points do I get for involving the crowd?

The next few turns are as chaotic and frenzied as a sugar crazed halfling in a sweet shop. The BoCK are down on numbers but the Strigoi are clearly playing on an empty stomach and are momentarily slow to react. This gives us enough manpower around the ball to make things difficult, and possible give the crowd some more players to get 'hands on' with.



Sir Giles has been playing better since Lady Lenor lost interest in him. I think he's trying to out do the Black Knight and win back her attention. Whatever it is, it's good for his blood bowl. After he secures the ball, the pigeon eaters gave up their scoring attempt and both teams snuck in some last minute fouls before the break.

Back in the second half with the strigoi better fed the BoCK collect the ball and commence our implacable advance. They swarm our 'cage' and try to bring it down with weight of numbers. But the ball is held by Sir Corduin and Sir Giles, and they were born/created for this stuff. A few turns of violence commences.



With the double stun on the Strigoi, their defence is in tatters. DaCoach directs in reinforcements but he has overloads the flank and the BoCK execute their classic 'switch' and charge into empty space in formation. By cutting off the fall back path, the way will be open for victory.



Good one Sir Giles. Why not quad skull, AV break and CAS? No I don't want any fumbbl block dice thank you very much Christer! It seems that Nuffle has been enjoying this contest and dictates that the touchdown will not be uncontested. Seizing the opportunity the craven vultures pounce on the isolated Duchess Iselda.



At the midway point in the half the BoCK are again down in numbers, but they have the endzone in sight.



Sir Corduin himself paces it down field with a trusty meatshield/snack in tow. An infernal machine, he can't be stopped.



Caleb says otherwise and rends through his armour with a cowardly rear attack. The game hangs in the balance. It's down to the thralls (doesn't it always?) to get the job done and put the ball away. Come on Mariam, do your thing!

A great game, fought with fanatical intensity. It was the first time in Spring for both teams, and I think us new bloods have a lot to teach the old regime about BB. Look at them with all their hypno elf play. Pah. The groundsmen won't need to water this pitch for weeks such was the glorious blood letting. But we were robbed. Those mangy ghouls owe a big debt to Nuffle that's for sure. I am formally declaring the Corpse Run Nightmares our rivals. Next spring there will be a reckoning, mark my words!
