First
I discovered Blood Bowl through Cyanide's Blood Bowl 2, specifically Crendor's invitational on youtube. This eventually led to me finding cKnoor's channel and a very long archive binge.

Initially, I was debating between buying BB:CE and BB2 the next time there was a sale on Steam. However, a negative review directed me to Fumbbl due to it actually implementing the full CRP (more or less).

I am going to try to figure out a regular schedule of updates, and I have several ideas of things I might write about. For now, I am going to stick to my first impressions and analysis of my own experiences. I am enjoying my time on Fumbbl, and I look forward to sharing more of my thoughts.

Sal-utations

Addendum: Thanks for the welcome everybody.

Welcome to Fumbbl
Be warned, the RNG here can be a very, very fickle thing.

I've seen some coaches go on 10+ game stretches of failball, where I've seen others roll all 6s and pows for stretches at a time.

Beyond that, you'll never find a better blood bowl community

fickle my butt

RNG complainers are the tinfoil hat wearers of the interwebs

Welcome and get involved in [L] once you've found your feet. It is the best of BB.

Hi and welcome. My advice is to try as many different things as possible. FUMBBL, BB2, BBCE, different divisions, different teams.........the more chance you'll find the perfect balance for you.

Antithesisoftime shut up. If you can't handle dice, that's fine, leave. However telling a new player the RNG is broken. Almost as unforgivable as that rant in the forums.

You play here for free, you don't like it, go. Don't spout lies to new players. The RNG is tested and monitored, it works fine.

Good to see another young gun joining Fumbbl to help drive out these old tabletop dinosaurs to their grave!! The time of the internet player is here and the old timers need to hit the nursing home or get run over by this freight train!! BAHAHAHA!!

That RNG thing was not an attempt of being funny!? And yes wellcome mate :)

Welcome! Hope you have fun here, and don't get diced too hard by the whims of Nuffle. :)

Playing Risk! I have once seen a single tank hold up the Kamchatka against a full army.

Obviously that meant RL probabilistic is broken. Graphics are kinda cool tho.

I think I just did something that sums up how dice affect you mentally. playing a turn on the old client. 2nd half Turn 5, 1 game old Orcs vs 1 game old Orcs. Only MB on a troll (who didn't help out in what happened).

No players out, and then one team turns over in the first action. The other team then proceeded to knock 7 players out in 7 blocks!! I've never seen that before, particularly with AV9 (ok 2 were surfs). I have another 4 blocks to clear the field, sadly they only achieved a single knock down and then turned over themselves with the 4 blocks.

I was playing myself, so I was kinda excited to see if I could achieve something, I've never heard done. However if I were the offence Orc coach, the score 1-1 and favourites to win, I'd have been miffed. First to turn over on the first action in sight of the TD line, then only to have a probable win turn into what is going to be almost certainly a loss with ridiculous armour breaks............Yeah I wouldn't play again for a while.......

That swipe earlier at the RNG is laughable.......if it weren't for the fact he's telling a new player. To have an RNG that deliberately 'picks' on a player for a series of games?! That would have to have been programmed in, and I'm sure Christer wants to sabotage his own game! The RNG has no knowledge of who is playing of course and in no way is it possible to what.....hold a grudge? lol.

yar... welcome. Keggie and I are a couple of the old tabletop dinosaurs that despite our woefully inadequate knowledge of this whole on the line interweb thing, we find ways to have fun with the young-uns...

Enjoy your time here. Pixels are fun to break :)

God, I say fickle (as in likely to change) and I get jumped on as if I'm complaining it's broken. The fickleness is a good thing dammit! Those long stretches of luck (good or bad) only serve to enforce it's validity.

I mean, come on, we see 400+ games played on Fumbbl a day. Statistically speaking, a coach should eventually string together 3 or 4 games where he succeeds on all rolls, no matter how ridiculous they are. I'd be more concerned if I didn't see streaking from the RNG.

Glad to have you here!

I encourage you to join some of the very well run Leagues (NBFL, 145 Club, and OLC come to mind).

Also, once you feel like a boss, join us in the Black Box.

hehe, at least the responses to this blog give a good indication of the *ahem* robust debate here. Welcome to fumbbl. You have a star rating in ranked already, well done. No one's gonna cherry pick you now :)
