Adjusting to CRP: Journeymen
So....
For those of you new to Fumbbl, my name is Synn.... and I am a recovering LRB 4 serial fouler.
It's true. I used to roll with mass DP Undead, CDs, and if your memory is good enough.... Norse. I smiled when I fouled and always knew of who I would foul before the start of every game no matter which race I was (elves were pretty fun for this). Had good friends and even better rivals.
Now I find myself a noob in the current ruleset. Some habits die hard.... others go quicker. While there are somethings I miss from LRB 4, I will say there is one game mechanic I love more than anything else.

Seriously, what a great rule from an open league standpoint.
Leave aside questions of "abusing the Jman rule" (which I don't think is possible) and instead consider that it means you can rebuild while being competitive.
Something that frustrated a lot of coaches in LRB 4 was having to rebuild your team knowing that you were in for a few losses (try finding a fair LRB 4 game with 5 mngs). Now you can actually rebuild a team while being competitive.

Journeymen has saved many of my former lrb4 teams from being deleted.
I like the new ruleset btw. Anyone, a fight about that? Would be sooooo interesting.

@Overhamsteren: indeed. In fact quite a few of my LRB 4 teams are getting whacked on account of having a FF of 19. It would have been nice if we had the ability to "throw out" FF when we convert teams to CRP.

Journeymen are ace, especially if your oppo got all pow and cas lucky the game before... and killed 3 and mng'd 3 elves. What would have been a killer game in LRB 4 becomes a minor annoyance now.
Rebuilds are much easier, even if you have to do them more often and as you say, the team remains competetive throughout.
