LRBF Rule: "POWer"
During a block, for each additional POW rolled after the first, the attacking player gets a +1 bonus to AV or INJ.

Example:

an Elf lino blitzes an Orc Blitzer. The elf has an assist so rolls 2db. gets POW,POW. The elf now has MB ;)

Thoughts?

Every thing must have a counter...you roll double or triple skulls and the power of POWer is reversed on your own pixel blocker when he crashes to the turf.

I have always thought double POW should hurt more, so i endorse this idea whole heartedly! ;)

I was thinking the same thing about balance... but was thinking more in terms of how to make an orc or goat handle the ball better ;)

If this were to stack with guys that have MB, then it's too powerful. If it doesn't, it just gives elves and the like an advantge without penalizing them. I see the reasoning behind it, but if you're a basher... be a basher. If you're a baller... be a baller. You gonna give an orc or dorf a TD if they just catch the ball anywhere?!?

Of course my counter idea increases the level of FUN. Makes 1BD more desirable which in its self is a desirable thing. right?
Posted by BattleLore on 2011-10-16 01:06:33
don't think this is a good idea, as the bashers will usually get more 2db or even 3db blocks and so get more double or even triple pows. Imagine a troll doing a triple pow on a elven lineman...

yeah. no.

oh, geeez, NO. there are already so little dice rolls in this game, overpower one of them and then you'll get a chance game much like poker.

I remember some W40k matches with a house-rule of "critical hit" and "critical failure". In close combat, every 6 rolled gives you an additional attack, but every 1 is one less attack. We really enojoyed our commanders fighting each others and rolling cans of dices. Also normal tropps CC were pretty much equilibrated - and more fun!

IMHO, the road to take is to roll much more dices...

I don't agree, but then again, every time I roll a tripple POW, and the result is a measly stun, I feel cheated.

I always thought 3x Pow should get +1 to armour or something along those lines. Give big guys a bit of a boost

My thought: Interesting, but bad idea.
